Indonesian police seize theft suspects in Sukoharjo and Pamekasan

In Sukoharjo regency, police arrested Nyoto (alias Londo), a daily‑wage labourer from Klaten, for stealing a Yamaha Jupiter motorcycle from a warehouse in Kartasura. He pretended to be looking for a job, entered the premises, and took the bike after spotting it unlocked. CCTV footage helped identify him; the motor was recovered with altered licence plates. He faces up to five years imprisonment under Article 476 of the criminal code.

In Pamekasan regency, the criminal investigation unit disclosed seven theft cases uncovered over a week. Eight suspects were detained and a range of items seized, including several motorcycles, mobile phones, a welding machine, a water‑pump, and a speaker. The suspects were charged under Articles 476 and 477, with penalties of up to seven years in prison. Police emphasized a commitment to curbing theft in the area.
