Indonesian police uncover theft, drug and motorcycle fraud cases across Bali, South Kalimantan and Central Java
Police in Badung, Bali announced the seizure of 13 theft suspects, including 12 adults and one minor, after uncovering nine ordinary thefts and four aggravated cases targeting homes, villas, plantations, shops and companies. One suspect was a repeat offender previously sentenced for a minor theft in South Denpasar.
In Balangan, South Kalimantan, authorities exceeded their target by uncovering 11 narcotics cases and detaining 14 suspects – 13 men and one woman – identified as three dealers, three couriers and eight users. The operation seized 2.12 g of methamphetamine, 125 Carnophen pills and 5,604 tablets of other controlled substances, all of which were destroyed on site.
Separately in Semarang, Central Java, police arrested a 23‑year‑old university student who allegedly misappropriated 40 motorcycles belonging to friends and junior classmates, leasing them under false pretenses and pocketing roughly Rp135 million in rental fees.
