Indonesian regional scout contingents depart for National Jamboree XII

Various regional contingents from across Indonesia are departing for the 12th National Scout Jamboree (Jambore Nasional XII), scheduled to take place from August 13 to 20, 2026, at the Cibubur Scout Camping Ground in East Jakarta.

In West Sumatra, a large contingent of 762 members was released from Padang Panjang to represent the province and showcase Minangkabau culture. Meanwhile, the Kepahiang Regency sent 43 participants, and the Bantul Regency dispatched 36 members, including four scouts with special needs, following a rigorous selection and training process.

In Jember, the local government has committed to fully funding the 32-student contingent to ensure all costs are covered. Regional leaders across these areas have emphasized that while achieving excellence is encouraged, the primary goals of the event are to build character, discipline, independence, and national unity among the youth.
