Overview

In early August 2026, regional authorities across Indonesia began dispatching scout contingents to the National Scout Jamboree XII scheduled for 12–21 August at the Graha Wisata Cibubur campsite in Jakarta. On 5 August, the regent of Kapuas and the deputy regent of Kepulauan Selayar released their Pramuka Garuda units, emphasizing character building, independence, solidarity and cultural exchange among youth.

Two days later, on 7 August, the governor of Bali and the regency of Murung Raya in Central Kalimantan announced larger contingents, with Bali’s 352‑person team highlighting an environmental mission focused on waste reduction and plastic minimisation. Both releases underscore the jamboree’s role as a platform for leadership development and civic values among Indonesia’s young people.
