Indonesian security forces hold Maulid Nabi commemorations

Indonesian security institutions, including the South Sulawesi Regional Police and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), held commemorations for Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW on September 2, 2026.

At the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Inspector General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro urged personnel to adopt the Prophet’s character as a model for their duties, emphasizing honesty, compassion, and justice. He stressed that police officers must maintain professionalism while remaining humanistic and maintaining public order.

At the TNI headquarters in Jakarta, the commemoration featured a lecture by Dr. Adi Hidayat. He advised leaders to show care for subordinates and called on soldiers and civil servants to uphold integrity and discipline. The event focused on the importance of soldier welfare and fostering unity within the community to support national sovereignty.
