Indonesian universities launch 2026 academic orientation programs

Universities in Indonesia have officially commenced their 2026 Academic and Student Culture Introduction (PBAK) programs for new students.

At UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, Rector Prof. Dr. Hj. Leny Nofianti opened the event for 2,423 new students. The program, themed ‘Youth Leadership: Young Leadership Towards Golden Indonesia 2045’, aims to build character, integrity, and leadership skills. The first wave of students includes those from the faculties of Agriculture and Animal Husbandment, Sharia and Law, Economics and Social Sciences, and Da'wah and Communication.

Similarly, at UIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Faisal opened the PBAK program at the Limboto Campus II. He emphasized the importance of students having clear goals and managing their time effectively to complete their studies promptly. He also advised students to adapt to rapid technological changes, specifically artificial intelligence, while maintaining academic integrity.
