Indonesian University Moves Honorer Staff to PPPK Status

The rector of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta announced that all non‑civil‑service (honorer) employees who passed the PPPK selection have been approved, completing the transition mandated by the 2014 Civil Service Law and the 2023 ASN law. The original deadline for staff restructuring was December 2024, but the government extended the tolerance period to December 2025. The university’s initiative aims to integrate these workers into the formal civil‑service system ahead of schedule, enhancing human‑resource management and compliance with national regulations.

The rector emphasized that the university has been advocating for the rights of non‑ASN staff for over a year and has taken proactive steps to resolve the issue, aligning the staffing structure with overall civil‑service governance.
