Indonesia's 2026 Hajj hailed as one of the best, ministry seeks input for future pilgrimages

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf said the 2026 Hajj was among the best in Indonesia’s history, recalling how the newly‑created ministry faced doubts about its capability seven months earlier. He noted the tight timeline and pending regulations but praised the overall success.

Director General Puji Raharjo lauded the smooth completion of Hajj 1447/2026, emphasizing the role of the strategic partner KBIHU. All Indonesian pilgrims have returned home, and KBIHU leaders were invited to provide constructive feedback to improve the next Hajj season.
