Indonesia's ATR/BPN and Attorney General's Asset Recovery Agency sign land asset cooperation pact
On 10 June 2026 in Jakarta, the Directorate General for Land Dispute and Conflict Management (PSKP) of the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning and the Asset Recovery Agency of the Attorney General's Office signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen protection and recovery of land‑related state assets. The agreement was signed by Director General Iljas Tedjo Prijono and BPA head Kuntadi.
The pact covers enhanced data exchange, identification, tracking, safeguarding and restoration of assets tied to land disputes, as well as joint coordination to resolve criminal, civil and administrative cases and to combat land‑mafia activities. Both officials emphasized the need for integrated action to ensure victims’ rights are restored and state losses are recovered.
Challenges noted include execution of court orders returning assets to victims, which the agencies aim to address through clearer inter‑agency protocols and shared information systems.
