ATR/BPN issues nearly 10 million electronic land certificates

The Indonesian Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has issued 9,774,933 electronic land certificates as of October 2026. This milestone follows the implementation of the digital system on December 4, 2023.

The total includes both newly issued electronic certificates and analog certificates that have been converted into digital formats. Data from the ministry’s Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) shows a steady increase in issuance, with 1,666,695 certificates issued in 2024 and 3,077,397 issued between January and October 2026.

Uunk Din Parunggi, Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau, stated that the digital transformation aims to integrate documents into an electronic system for more systematic data management and improved service efficiency. He emphasized that electronic certificates hold the same legal weight as their analog counterparts.
