West Sumatra and Central Java forecast mostly sunny weather with light rain risk

Indonesia's weather agency BMUV predicts that West Sumatra will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy from 11–13 July, with light rain possible in districts such as Pasaman Barat, Agam, and Solok Selatan. Temperatures are expected between 17 °C and 32 °C with humidity up to 98 % and winds from the southeast to the west.

In Central Java, Semarang is forecast to be clear to partly cloudy on 11 July, with temperatures of 27‑33 °C. Authorities warn that the dry conditions raise the risk of forest and land fires. Nearby Yogyakarta (DIY) will see similar clear‑to‑partly‑cloudy skies, though sudden local showers may develop in the afternoon.

Malang region will experience sunny, hot weather on Friday, 10 July, before turning cloudy on Saturday. Temperatures will range from 18 °C to 31 °C with light winds.

Separately, the Central Java disaster agency reports that 14 regencies are already experiencing drought as the dry season progresses. Local governments are distributing clean‑water supplies and preparing additional aid, while warning of water shortages and increased fire risk.
