Indonesia's BMKG releases June 2026 weather forecasts for Central and East Java
Indonesia's meteorological agency, BMKG, issued a two‑day forecast for central Javan tourism sites starting 14 June 2026. The outlook calls for light rain and thunderstorms in mountain areas such as Dieng Plateau and Sikunir, with temperatures ranging from 14 °C to 25 °C. Lower‑lying locations like Omah Kendeng and Bledug Kuwu are expected to be warmer, between 24 °C and 34 °C, under mainly clear skies. Visitors to sites such as Guci, Baturraden and other hill stations are advised to carry rain gear, sun protection and to monitor updates before traveling.
The agency also released the 15 June 2026 forecast for Surabaya, Sidoarjo and Gresik in East Java. Temperatures are projected between 24 °C and 33 °C with humidity from 48 % to 93 %. Weather will be largely sunny to partly cloudy, with no significant rain expected, though occasional clouds may appear in the evening. Residents are urged to stay informed via BMKG channels and keep umbrellas handy as a precaution.
