Indonesia's BRI rolls out online portal for KUR SME loans

Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) has expanded its Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) programme by launching an online application portal at ceria.bri.co.id. The digital platform streamlines the loan process for micro, small and medium enterprises, allowing applicants to create accounts, submit forms, upload documents, and receive verification without visiting a branch. BRI emphasizes faster approval, lower administrative costs and aims to broaden access to affordable financing across the country.

The loan scheme is divided into three tiers—Super Mikro, Mikro and Kecil—each with its own credit limits and interest rates. While specific rates for the Mikro and Kecil tiers are not disclosed publicly, applicants are advised to consult BRI officers for the current terms. Eligible businesses must have been operating for at least six months and can use the funds for working capital or investment in equipment, expansion, agriculture, tourism, manufacturing and other productive sectors. BRI also warns against using unofficial channels and states that the application incurs no upfront fees.
