Indonesia's IHSG climbs 0.8% as market capitalisation tops 10.34 trillion rupiah
The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) rose 0.83 % over the week to 5,924.36 points, pushing total market capitalisation on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) to 10.34 trillion rupiah, a 0.51 % increase from the previous week. Trading activity intensified, with daily transaction frequency up 29.7 % to 1.87 million trades and average daily volume rising 16.8 % to 20.5 billion shares, while the average daily turnover value fell 8.9 % to 10.27 trillion rupiah. Foreign investors recorded a net sell of 421.7 billion rupiah on 10 July, bringing their cumulative net outflow for 2026 to 76.15 trillion rupiah.
BEI also added seven new listed companies through initial public offerings (IPOs), raising 2.16 trillion rupiah and bringing the total number of listed firms to 963, part of a goal to reach 1,100 companies by 2030. Four additional firms are awaiting IPO approval, spanning health, consumer goods, and raw material sectors. Analyst reports highlighted buy‑on‑weakness opportunities in stocks such as Archi Indonesia (ARCI) and Bank Mandiri (BMRI), while noting external pressures from oil price moves linked to renewed US‑Iran tensions and upcoming global economic data releases.
