Indonesia's Creative Economy Minister Launches Programs and Global Poster Biennale
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya opened the Re:Rasa International Poster Biennale 2026 at Paramadina University in Jakarta, noting the event’s role in linking students, designers, academics and industry across 25 countries. He highlighted visual communication design as a key driver of the creative sector, especially as artificial‑intelligence tools reshape how design adds value beyond aesthetics.
Harsya also announced three flagship initiatives – Desa Kreatif, Creative Hub and Creative by Indonesia – under President Prabowo Subianto’s new Rindekraf 2026‑2045 master plan. The programs aim to activate creative potential in villages, turn existing community spaces into collaborative hubs, and brand Indonesian products for national and global markets. The plan expands the creative economy to 21 subsectors and is already being implemented in dozens of provinces and municipalities.
