Indonesia's Creative Economy Ministry drives flagship programs and positions Bali as global showcase
Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy and its minister, Teuku Riefky Harsya, announced accelerated implementation of strategic programs for the second half of 2026. The focus is on inclusive growth, welfare and job creation through three flagship initiatives: Aktivasi Desa Kreatif, Aktivasi Creative Hub, and Creative by Indonesia, supported by government assistance and regional institutional strengthening.
The ministry also highlighted Bali's role as a showcase for Indonesian creative works, aligning development with the 2026–2045 Creative Economy Master Plan (Rindekraf). Efforts include strengthening the creative ecosystem, promoting 21 subsectors, and improving infrastructure, waste management, clean water, and coastal protection to sustain tourism and creative industry growth.
