Indonesia's Danantara to consolidate state-owned property firms
State investment entity Danantara announced a plan to merge and restructure financially stressed state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the property sector. COO Dony Oskaria said the agency will address each developer’s debt through the PKPU process and handle asset impairments, then calculate the total unsold public‑housing inventory for unified marketing. The scheme will be supported by state‑owned banks under Himbara, which will create lower‑cost mortgage products to make housing credit more accessible. Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani added that the initiative aims to accelerate the sale of completed homes and apartments, expanding homeownership while clearing the backlog of state‑built units.
