Indonesia's DPR pushes for implementation of One Data Indonesia Law

Members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) are advocating for the rapid implementation of the recently enacted One Data Indonesia Law (UU Satu Data Indonesia) to improve public services and tax revenue.

In Maluku, Commission II member Azis Subekti emphasized the need for digital service interoperability between regional governments and vertical agencies. He proposed using integrated data dashboards, incorporating Ombudsman reports, to monitor and evaluate the performance of regional heads and improve public service quality.

Simultaneously, Commission XI member Andi Yuliani Paris urged the Ministry of Finance to utilize the law to expand the tax base. She suggested integrating data from various ministries—including mining, trade, industry, and plantations—to better identify large taxpayers in sectors such as mining, manufacturing, and export-import. This integration is intended to complement the Ministry of Finance's Coretax system by ensuring seamless data sharing across government institutions.
