Indonesia's GIIAS 2026 Highlights Isuzu Road Sweeper and UD Trucks Safety Push

At the 2026 Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) held in BSD City, Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) unveiled the Isuzu GIGA FVR Road Sweeper, a commercial truck transformed into a large‑scale street‑cleaning machine. The vehicle was developed in partnership with YMG Tech Mobility, integrating a robust chassis with a dedicated sweeping system. Business Strategy Division Head Rian Erlangga said the project demonstrates that Isuzu’s commercial platforms can provide public‑service solutions such as city cleaning.

In a separate presentation, UD Trucks Indonesia showcased its Quester model and reaffirmed its commitment to higher safety standards for the transport of dangerous goods. The company hosted a seminar on sustainable energy and transport safety, bringing together energy firms, vehicle manufacturers, body‑shop producers and logistics operators. VP Commercial & Shipping Business Development at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sigit Setiawan, highlighted the nationwide rollout of biodiesel B50 since 1 July 2026 as part of the broader effort to improve safety and support the energy transition.
