IHSG shows signs of recovery following September decline
The Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) has shown signs of recovery, rebounding from a significant 6.96% month-to-month decline in September 2026. During that period, foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp10.24 trillion amid global market volatility and rising interest rates.
In recent trading sessions, the IHSG has trended upward, reaching levels around 6,118 to 6,196. This recovery is supported by positive technical indicators, such as the emergence of bullish patterns and the index staying above the 6,000 psychological level. Analysts attribute the momentum to stabilizing Brent oil prices and expectations of a more dovish stance from the US Federal Reserve following weak US labor data.
While the index has seen gains in sectors like energy, technology, and industry, analysts remain cautious. Key resistance levels are identified around 6,140 to 6,200, while support levels are noted between 5,850 and 6,017. Investors are closely monitoring global economic data and upcoming FOMC minutes for further direction.
