Indonesia's Kemnaker launches senior employment program and opens MagangHub certification registration
Indonesia's Ministry of Labour (Kemnaker) partnered with Boga Group to roll out the Program Lansia Aktif 2026, targeting workers aged 60 and above. The pilot offers server positions in Batam, Tangerang, Jakarta, Bekasi, Purwokerto, Surabaya and Bali, with five‑hour workdays, five days a week and a one‑hour break. Applicants must be at least high‑school educated, pass an electro‑cardiogram test and obtain family consent. Estiarty Haryani, acting director‑general of workforce placement, said, “Kemnaker continues to invite business to expand access for senior workers.”
At the same time, Kemnaker opened registration for competency certification for MagangHub Batch 2 university interns, running from 8 – 19 June 2026 in cooperation with the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). Participants must submit documentation, select a certification body and sit for assessments between 22 June and 22 July. Successful candidates receive an electronic certificate within ten days. Darmawansyah, director‑general of vocational training, explained, “Through competency certification, participants obtain official recognition of the abilities they have built.”
