Fitroh Rohcahyanto Denies Any Connection to MBG Corruption Allegations Involving Sony Sonjaya

The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has refuted social‑media claims that Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto is linked to a corruption investigation into the Badan Gizi Nasional's (BGN) Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists that Fitroh does not know former BGN Vice‑Chair Sony Sonjaya, has no business ties to the MBG kitchen network, and has received no material benefits from the foundation associated with the alleged scandal.

The KPK urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and to scrutinise such claims carefully. Meanwhile, Sony Sonjaya has applied to become a justice collaborator with the Attorney General’s Office, offering to assist investigators in uncovering other persons potentially involved in the case.

These statements seek to clear Fitroh’s name and to curb misinformation surrounding the ongoing investigation into alleged misuse of MBG funds.
