Indonesia's Lemhannas endorses Brahmos missile cooperation with India at Jakarta Geopolitical Forum

Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas), Tubagus Ace Hasan Syadzily, praised the Indonesian government's plan to purchase and develop the Brahmos cruise missile in partnership with India. He said the joint effort would strengthen Indonesia's defence industry and facilitate technology transfer, echoing agreements signed by President Joko Widodo and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The endorsement was made during the opening of Jakarta Geopolitical Forum X at the Hotel Bidakara in South Jakarta, which hosted around 250 participants, including diplomats, think‑tank representatives, and policymakers. The forum, themed “straightening multilateralism,” examined global geopolitical trends and their impact on Indonesia’s national resilience. Foreign Minister Sugiono also addressed the gathering, underscoring the need for multilateral cooperation amid shifting international dynamics.
