Indonesia's Ministry of Cooperatives pushes for global market expansion
The Indonesian Ministry of Cooperatives is encouraging local cooperatives to upgrade their business capacity to compete in global markets. Deputy Minister Farida Farichah identified three primary challenges hindering cooperatives from becoming global players: human resource quality, financing, and market access.
To address these hurdles, the Ministry is providing assistance to help cooperatives meet international quality standards and certifications required for export. As part of this effort, the Ministry is facilitating participation in the China International E-Commerce Industry Expo (CIEIE) held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. This event serves as a strategic platform for cooperatives to introduce their products, build international networks, and connect directly with global consumers and producers.
