Indonesia's OJK advances pension fund access for investment managers and approves insurance broker name change
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has been facilitating the entry of investment managers into the institutional pension fund (DPLK) market for over a year. So far, only Sinarmas Asset Management has launched a DPLK service, although the Association of DPLK operators reports strong interest from other managers. A major hurdle remains the requirement that an investment manager must control at least IDR 25 trillion in assets before it can offer DPLK services.
Separately, OJK granted a business licence to PT Tumbuh Terlindung Pialang Asuransi after the company changed its name from PT Advis Terapan Proteksindo. The licence was issued under Decision No. KEP-322/PD.02/2026, effective 30 June 2026, and obliges the firm to operate in compliance with prevailing insurance regulations. PT Tumbuh Terlindung is a member of the Indonesian Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Association (APPARINDO) and is based in Jakarta.
