OJK unveils credit growth surge, anti‑scam app, influencer rules and insurance reporting deadline
Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) reported that investment credit grew 24.9% year‑on‑year in June 2026, outpacing the 21.95% growth in May and signalling a rebound in corporate investment activity.
The regulator also recorded 1,941 consumer‑service requests and 5,104 information‑system inquiries in Sulawesi Selatan and Sulawesi Barat up to 30 July 2026, reflecting ongoing financial‑literacy and protection efforts.
OJK’s anti‑scam task force (PASTI) announced development of a mobile application to let users check transaction histories and receive fraud warnings, aiming for completion by the end of 2026 after benchmarking systems in Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.
In June 2026 OJK issued POJK No. 6/2026, setting eight rules for financial influencers, including mandatory risk warnings, disclosure of relationships and commissions, certification requirements, and penalties of up to IDR 15 billion for violations.
Finally, OJK extended the deadline for insurers to submit their Semester I‑2026 business‑plan realization reports from 31 July to 31 August 2026, giving the industry additional time to implement PSAK 117 accounting standards for insurance contracts.
