Indonesia's Parliament Pushes Systemic Reforms for Hajj 2026 Services
Vice‑chair of the DPR’s Commission VIII, Singgih Januratmoko, called the post‑Hajj 2026 evaluation a chance to embed a culture of continuous improvement. He highlighted three strategic focus areas identified by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah: management of the Mina area, the istitha’ah (capacity/health) requirements, and mitigation of flight‑delay issues.
Singgih urged Indonesia to work with Saudi authorities and other sending countries to expand Mina’s capacity, optimise tent placement and logistics, and adopt digital, data‑driven systems for pilgrim movement. He emphasized that stronger coordination, transparent health standards and comprehensive flight‑delay mitigation are essential to sustain and improve service quality for the millions of Indonesian pilgrims each year.
