Indonesia's PLN Announces Power Outages in Bali and Yogyakarta

State electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) scheduled temporary power cuts as part of routine maintenance to improve supply reliability. In Bali, the outage will affect East Bali, Mengwi, Sanur and Kuta on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, with crews working to strengthen the distribution network.

In Yogyakarta, PLN's UP3 Sedayu unit will cut power in the Wates area on Monday, 8 June 2026, from 10:00 – 13:00 WIB, affecting villages such as Bantar Wetan, Banguncipto, Kalibondol, Kaliagung, Jangkang and Kaligalang. Both outages are announced to minimise inconvenience and ensure safety during the maintenance work.
