PLN upgrades power for North Maluku hospital and Yogyakarta university

PT PLN (Persero) boosted the electricity supply to Rumah Sakit Bobong in the North Maluku regency, raising its capacity to 725 kVA. The upgrade aims to ensure reliable power for medical equipment and improve healthcare services in the island region. A PLN manager said, "PLN berkomitmen menghadirkan listrik yang andal dan berkualitas untuk mendukung sektor‑sektor strategis".

In Yogyakarta, PLN also increased the power quota for Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) Veteran from 2 MVA to 3.465 kVA. The additional capacity supports expanding campus facilities and the university’s move toward a smart campus. A university official noted the need for more electricity as campus technology use grows.

Both projects are part of PLN’s broader effort to provide reliable, responsive electricity to key public institutions across Indonesia, while promoting the use of its digital PLN Mobile app for customer services.
