Indonesia's PLN gives 50% discount on power capacity upgrades, July 2026

PT PLN (Persero) launched a promotional program called “Semangat Baru Makin Berdaya” that offers a 50 % discount on the cost of adding electricity capacity. The discount applies to low‑voltage, single‑phase customers with existing power of 450 VA to 5 500 VA who wish to increase up to a maximum of 7 700 VA. The promotion runs from 14 July to 27 July 2026 and is intended to support National Children’s Day and the upcoming school year.

Customers must complete at least one transaction (prepaid token purchase or postpaid bill payment) via the PLN Mobile app during the period to receive an e‑voucher. The voucher is issued through the app’s Reward feature or emailed and can be used once per customer ID when applying for the capacity increase. Eligibility also requires registration before 1 July 2026, cleared outstanding bills, no pending obligations, and a limit of one voucher use per ID (up to four vouchers per account overall). The discounted fee for a typical upgrade from 1 300 VA to 7 700 VA is about Rp 3 100 800, half the normal cost of Rp 6 201 600.
