Indonesia's PLN Restores Power in Semarang and Yogyakarta After Outages

Power supply disruptions affected two Indonesian regions in June 2026. In Semarang’s Candisari district, a network fault around 12:59 WIB on 26 June caused outages on dozens of streets, including several Jangli‑named roads. PT PLN (Persero) dispatched crews to restore service and urged residents to keep a safe distance from live wires and to report any problems via the PLN 123 contact center.

In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, PLN confirmed that electricity service fully resumed after a fault at a privately‑owned power plant. Senior PLN manager Deny Setiawan said that, as of 20 June, all customers across Yogyakarta, Sleman, Bantul, Kulonprogo and Gunungkidul enjoy stable supply, and the utility continues to monitor the grid and encourages rapid reporting of any future disturbances.
