Indonesia's PLN schedules power outages in Bali and Semarang on Aug 5, 2026

State-owned electricity company Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) announced scheduled maintenance that will cause temporary power cuts on Wednesday, 5 August 2026. In Bali, the outage will affect areas in East Bali, Sanur and Negara as part of network reinforcement work. In Central Java, PLN's Semarang UP3 will cut supply for about six hours, from 10:00 WIB to 16:00 WIB, across several streets in Semarang East, including Jl. Bengkung, Jl. Pilang, Jl. Pekuncen and nearby neighborhoods. The utility issued safety advisories, urging residents to keep a safe distance from power lines, avoid illegal installations, and follow standard precautions during the shutdown.
