Indonesia's Satgas PASTI cracks down on illegal financial promotions

The Indonesian Satgas PASTI (Task Force for Eradication of Illegal Financial Activities) has urged financial influencers to verify that digital‑asset products are licensed before promoting them, to remove content that directs users to unregistered platforms, and to disclose any compensation they receive. The task force also launched a police investigation into a fraud scheme that promised income from watching Chinese dramas and purchasing alleged copyright rights, warning that victims were asked to make deposits and were misled about passive earnings. Satgas PASTI has previously halted dozens of illegal entities, processing more than 17,000 complaints and shutting down hundreds of illegal online lenders and investment offers.
