Indonesia's Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf urges MPLS school rollout and upgrades for social workers

Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) called on all government units to support the upcoming Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) Sekolah Rakyat program slated for 14 July 2026, urging smooth implementation across the country.

At the 51st National Meeting of Social Workers in Balige, North Sumatra, Yusuf addressed the Ikatan Pekerja Sosial Masyarakat (IPSM), urging the group to move from volunteer status to professional agents of change. He highlighted the need for accurate beneficiary data, targeted aid distribution, and stronger collaboration with local welfare offices. The ministry and partners delivered aid worth roughly Rp1.07 billion in food, nutrition, disability equipment, and economic support to families in need.
