Indonesia IPO Activity Slows Amid Low Listings, BEI Considers Target Revision

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) recorded seven companies completing IPOs up to 10 July 2026, raising about Rp2.16 trillion. Four additional firms, two large‑asset and two small‑asset, remain in the IPO pipeline, with healthcare companies constituting the largest sector share. BEI Director Saidu Solihin said the market is focusing on the quality of new listings and noted that the original goal of 50 IPOs for the year may be revised; six companies are currently in the pipeline.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) launched the ORI030 retail bond offering from 6 to 30 July 2026, featuring fixed coupons up to 7 % per annum, a minimum purchase of Rp1 million and full government guarantee, aiming to broaden retail investor participation.

During the week of 6‑10 July, the composite stock index (IHSG) rose 0.83 % to 5,924, with market capitalisation up 0.51 % and daily transaction frequency increasing by 29.7 %. However, newly listed stocks such as PT Niramas Utama Tbk (JELI) and PT Bach Multi Global Tbk (BACH) fell sharply after debut, reflecting concerns over high IPO valuations and weak cash flows.
