Indonesia's Youth Embrace Digital Entrepreneurship

Indonesia is seeing a surge in digital‑focused careers among young people. Content creators, once seen as hobbyists, are now recognised as a professional field and have been added to the country's official business classification (KBLI), creating new jobs and contributing to the digital economy.

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) is supporting this trend by organising the Womenpreneur Development Forum at Bakrie University, in partnership with IWAPI and Shopee Indonesia. The event aims to equip female university students with the skills and opportunities to launch digital businesses, highlighting the growing role of women in Indonesia’s online economy.
