Indore police arrest alleged arms smuggler with multiple firearms

Madhya Pradesh police arrested an alleged arms smuggler in Indore after recovering several illegal weapons. The suspect, identified as Mithilesh Lashkari, was apprehended under the jurisdiction of the Tejaji Nagar police station.

Acting on intelligence regarding a suspicious individual on a black motorcycle, officers intercepted the suspect on Ralamandal Road. A search of a black bag carried by the individual revealed three country-made pistols, one country-made revolver, and four live 32-bore cartridges.

During interrogation, the accused stated he brought the weapons from Dhamnod in the Dhar district. Police have registered a case under sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act and are seeking police remand to further investigate the source and intended destination of the firearms.
