Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison launches Zankore AI infrastructure platform

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) has launched Zankore, a new venture aimed at developing a 1 GW AI factory and neocloud platform in Indonesia. The project is a partnership involving Ooredoo Group, which holds a 49 per cent stake following an USD800 million investment, as well as Nokia and Nvidia.

The platform will utilize Nvidia’s DSX reference architecture to integrate accelerated computing, networking, power, and cooling. Nokia will provide the AI networking infrastructure, while Nvidia will supply the necessary GPU hardware and software, including Nvidia GB300 NVL72 for the initial deployment.

Zankore plans to deploy its first 200 MW of AI capacity in the first half of 2027, with the goal of scaling to a total of 1 GW. The venture is designed to serve hyperscalers, enterprises, and governments, supporting Indonesia’s objective to become a regional AI hub and meeting the growing demand for AI compute infrastructure in Southeast Asia.
