Indra Group will invest about €18 million to construct a new factory for military vehicles in As Pontes, A Coruña. The company has acquired more than 50,000 m² of land with roughly 15,000 m² of built‑up area. The plant is expected to create 70‑120 direct high‑skill jobs and many indirect positions in the supply chain.

The facility will integrate amphibious combat vehicles, bridge‑laying vehicles and wheeled artillery for the Spanish Armed Forces. It will feature its own test track and advanced digitalisation, automation and artificial‑intelligence systems. With a capacity of around 500 vehicles per year, the new centre will join Indra’s existing production site in Gijón, raising the Indra Land Vehicles industrial floor space to about 40,000 m², a figure that could reach 55,000 m² if a third plant is added. CEO Josep María Recasens described the project as a new‑generation factory designed to be among Europe’s most efficient and competitive defence industrial hubs.
