inDrive calls for ecosystem support to unlock Nigerian tech talent

At the GITEX Nigeria 2026 technology and startup show in Lagos, the global mobility and delivery platform inDrive called for increased collaboration to support Nigerian tech talent. During a panel session titled ‘Building and Reshaping the Tech Talent Story’, stakeholders discussed how to bridge the gap between technical skills and scalable business opportunities.

Timothy Oladimeji, inDrive Nigeria Country Manager, emphasized that while Nigeria possesses significant talent, there is a critical need for more opportunities across various sectors for individuals to apply and refine their skills. He urged policymakers, investors, and private-sector organizations to invest in the ecosystem to ensure a sustainable pipeline of future talent.

Oladimeji suggested that companies can contribute by sharing internal learning resources and practical industry knowledge from previous product deployments to provide emerging professionals with essential experience.
