inDrive discusses smart mobility future at Techne Summit Cairo

The global mobility and urban services platform inDrive participated in the Techne Summit 2026 in Cairo to discuss the future of smart transportation and digital ecosystems in Egypt.

Alaa El Din Shalaby, inDrive’s Country Manager for Egypt, participated in a high-level discussion regarding the company’s growth and the evolving dynamics of the local mobility sector. Shalaby highlighted the company’s peer-to-peer pricing model, which enables drivers and passengers to negotiate fares directly rather than following fixed platform prices. He noted that the Egyptian market values flexibility and individual decision-making.

The discussion also addressed sector challenges, including economic pressures, regulatory developments, and the necessity of creating sustainable employment and fair returns for drivers. Additionally, inDrive joined a panel with the platform Vezeeta to discuss the integration of technology platforms within healthcare ecosystems.
