inDrive responds to fatal driver shooting in Santo Domingo Este

The transportation platform inDrive issued an official statement regarding the death of a driver in Santo Domingo Este. The company clarified that the incident did not occur during a trip requested through its application.

On the morning of Friday, October 16, 48-year-old Feliz Valentín Casalinovo Trinidad, a former lieutenant of the National Police who worked as a platform driver, was shot during a suspected robbery near the Darío Contreras Traumatological Hospital on the Las Américas highway. After being shot, the victim attempted to walk to the medical center but died on a nearby pedestrian bridge. His vehicle was later found on 25 de Febrero Avenue.

Following the crime, police operations led to the detention of a 17-year-old suspect, while authorities continue to search for three other fugitives linked to the assault. inDrive expressed condolences to the family and stated it would cooperate with legal authorities and provide requested information through official channels.
