Industrial and consumer sectors report diverse 2026 financial and operational updates

Several major industrial and consumer goods companies reported significant financial and operational updates for the first half of 2026.

LyondellBasell reported a substantial increase in second-quarter revenue, rising nearly 20 percent to 9.18 billion USD, with net profit increasing nearly fivefold to 559 million USD. The company also reached a milestone in Wesseling, Germany, by installing two pyrolysis reactors for its MoReTec-1 chemical recycling plant, which is designed to process 50,000 tons of plastic waste annually.

Lego Group achieved record results with a 21 percent increase in first-half revenue, reaching 41.9 billion DKK. The company is expanding its production footprint, including a new facility in Virginia, USA, and a global innovation center in Billund.

Agilyx reported first-half revenue of 85.1 million euros, bolstered by the consolidation of GreenDot Global. Despite an EBITDA loss of 1.9 million euros, the company posted a net profit of 9.7 million euros due to non-cash accounting gains from restructuring and acquisitions.

Afyren reported that its NEOXY production plant has produced over 1,000 tons of bio-based acids since June 2025. While production levels in August fell below expectations due to process control and reliability issues, the company maintains its long-term growth targets for 2025 and 2026.
