Industrial development projects begin in Hidalgo and Mexico City

New industrial developments are underway in Mexico to bolster manufacturing and logistics capacity. In Hidalgo, construction has started on the Zapotlán Economic Development Pole for Wellbeing. Managed by Desarrollos Económicos del Valle de México (DEWA), the 922-hectare project involves a private investment exceeding 10 billion Mexican pesos. The development will proceed in five stages, with the first phase focusing on urbanization and the construction of industrial warehouses to generate approximately 5,000 permanent jobs.

In Mexico City, ProximityParks has commenced construction on the Iztapalapa III complex. This 33 million USD project will repurpose a former office furniture factory site into a 24,000 square meter logistics facility. Designed to support e-commerce and last-mile delivery, the plant is expected to create over 800 direct jobs. The facility aims for LEED certification and will include sustainable infrastructure such as solar panels and electric vehicle charging stations.
