Brazil educational updates: Inep releases PND keys and School Census results

Brazil's Ministry of Education (MEC) and the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) have released several updates regarding national educational assessments and data.

Regarding the Prova Nacional Docente (PND), Inep has released the preliminary answer keys and discursive question expectations for the second edition held on October 20. Candidates have until October 25 to file appeals via the PND system. The PND aims to assist states and municipalities in selecting permanent teachers, with over 10,000 teachers already selected through the first edition's results.

For the Enem 2026, preparations are underway with official guidance released to help students organize study schedules and review high-incidence subjects such as basic mathematics and ecology. The exams are scheduled for November 8 and 15, 2026.

Additionally, the preliminary results of the 2026 School Census (Censo Escolar) are now available on Inep's website. These results, which track effective enrollments in basic education, allow for a 30-day correction period before final data is sent to the National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE).
