Inflation emerges as top concern for 46% of registered voters

A recent poll conducted by Noble Predictive Insights for The Center Square shows that inflation is the primary concern for 46% of registered voters, marking a nine-point increase since March. The issue remains the top priority across all political affiliations, including Democrats (47%), Republicans (45%), and independents (48%).

Other significant voter concerns include the economy and jobs (31%), healthcare (28%), and government corruption (25%). In contrast, the national debt and government spending were ranked near the bottom of priorities by 13% of respondents.

This shift in voter focus occurs alongside significant fiscal data. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the federal government ran a $2 trillion deficit, an increase of $218 billion over fiscal 2025. Additionally, Treasury Department data indicates that net interest on the debt reached $1.052 trillion in fiscal 2026, exceeding the $965 billion spent on national defense.
