Influencer Evelyn Lima Dantas shot dead in Brazil

Brazilian influencer Evelyn Lima Dantas, 21, was shot and killed in front of her home in Mãe do Rio, Pará, during the early hours of Wednesday, September 16. Two armed men reportedly broke into the family residence around 3:30 a.m., overpowered the occupants, and dragged Dantas outside where she was executed.

The victim's father was present during the attack and was reportedly forced to the ground by the assailants. He witnessed the shooting of his daughter before the attackers fled in a vehicle. Local police arrived shortly after neighbors reported hearing gunfire, finding Dantas deceased on the sidewalk.

The killing occurred just days after Dantas was released from custody. She had been under investigation for her alleged involvement in the July homicide of retired Military Police sergeant Antônio Anildo Alves. Authorities are currently investigating whether the murder is linked to that previous case or to organized crime. The initials ‘TCP’, associated with the criminal organization Terceiro Comando Puro, were reportedly found at the scene.
