Influencer Pam do Grau targeted in Brazilian gambling fraud operation
Pamela Cristiane da Silva, a digital influencer known as ‘Pam do Grau’, is the primary target of ‘Operação Jogo Duplo’ following investigations into fraudulent online gambling schemes in Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Authorities allege that Silva used her Instagram profile, which has approximately 120,000 followers, to promote clandestine betting platforms. She reportedly used manipulated links that displayed false winnings in her videos to lure followers into the platforms. While her videos showed high profits, regular users were directed to different links where they often faced difficulties withdrawing funds. The platforms involved reportedly changed names every two to three months to evade detection.
Investigations revealed a significant discrepancy in Silva's finances. Between June 2025 and April 2026, she moved R$ 928,000 through her bank accounts, despite having a declared monthly income of only R$ 901 and no formal employment. The platforms she promoted have accumulated 355 police reports for fraud across various Brazilian states.
As part of the judicial orders, police conducted search and seizure operations, suspended her Instagram profile, and imposed the use of an electronic ankle monitor. Authorities also seized vehicles and blocked R$ 642,845.45 in bank accounts. Silva faces investigation for crimes including gambling exploitation, money laundering, criminal association, and deceptive advertising.
