Infosys and Adani Green Energy post Q1 profit gains in FY2026‑27
Indian IT giant Infosys reported a 12.2% rise in consolidated net profit for the April‑June quarter of FY2026‑27, reaching 7,769 crore rupees, with revenue climbing 14% to 48,211 crore rupees. Chief Executive Salil Parekh said strong demand for artificial‑intelligence services is converting into higher earnings and announced that Ashish Kumar Das will assume the CEO role in April 2027.
Adani Green Energy Limited posted a 19.3% increase in net profit for the same quarter, hitting 983 crore rupees as revenue rose to 4,663 crore rupees. Energy sales grew 30% to 1,365.7 crore units, driven by new capacity additions that lifted total operating capacity to about 20.1 GW. The company added 4,327 MW of solar and wind capacity and is targeting 50 GW of renewable capacity, with CEO Ashish Khanna highlighting the disciplined execution.
Both companies underscored robust growth drivers—AI‑related services for Infosys and expanding renewable‑energy assets for Adani Green—while outlining future expansion plans.
