Infrastructure concerns raised in Jakarta and Pasuruan

In East Jakarta, the Regional Apparatus Deviation Monitoring Agency (LP2AD) has raised concerns regarding a drainage revitalization project on Jalan Sumur Jambu. The project, valued at approximately Rp1.57 billion, is suspected of failing to meet technical specifications. LP2AD Executive Director Victor Irianto Napitupulu noted that the work, originally targeted for 90 days, was completed in just over a month, leading to suspicions of substandard execution. Specific concerns include the potential absence of a working floor and the effectiveness of the supervisory consultant, PT Indit Tara Reky.

In Pasuruan, the local government has allocated approximately Rp1 billion to repair clean water distribution networks in Jatiarjo Village, Prigen District. The damage was caused by forest and land fires on the slopes of Mount Arjuno, which melted PVC pipes of various diameters. The repair efforts will prioritize replacing 350 meters of 3-inch diameter pipe and 3,750 meters of 2-inch diameter pipe. Until repairs are completed, residents are relying on clean water supplies provided by BPBD water tankers.
